Ahhh, photomanipulation!

Iron Man photo

Iron Man – like you’ve never seen him before

I decided to see if I could spice up a closeup shot of Mr. Iron Man here. I used a program called Filter Forge to do so. It’s pretty useful for making the ordinary into the bizarre if I do say so myself.

With Filter Forge you can use many filters made by others for free after purchase of the program. You can also spend hours making your own filters. Some find it quite addicting. This photo was made using one of the many filters available on the site. I hope it doesn’t make your eyes bleed too much. 🙂

Have a wonderful week!

Photo of the day: Itty Bitty Bee

Photo of the day: Itty Bitty Bee

A bee flies from a flower after getting its fill of pollen.

Buzz buzz. I had a 12 hour day today but still have just enough energy to upload something, so here you go.

I gotta say, photographing bugs in flight is easier with a machine gun of a camera like the Canon 7D. My Olympus E-PL1 would require a lot of luck for the shutter to fire at such a moment.

Cheers,

Abstract palm fronds

Abstract palm fronds

Taken nearby my house, with some added effects for kicks.

Too early to go to bed, with nothing to do, so I grabbed my camera and walked around outside. Using the flash, I was able to get some interesting shots. This one is some palm fronds by my house, with some post-processing effects just to have something different than boring old palm fronds. Enjoy.
